A Little Girls Inspiration

I've been dreaming of a Tiffany Blue room in my home for a while now and when my girl chose to change her room color to blue, I ran to the paint store and got all the blue swatches to find the perfect color. SHE LOVED IT. It's so bright and fresh and yummy. ;)

I imagined it with all white linens and white accessories but as we know kids LOVE color. Her colorful toys actually brings out the color all than much more. oohhh! A nice backdrop for some shoots ;)

She had also been dreaming of a little vanity to put on her makeup, so I found this little ledge shelf at IKEA, and the mirror and ottoman storage stool at MAISON BOUCLAIR. A really inexpensive way to make a little girl happy.

The paint color is OCEAN SPRAY from BENJAMIN MOORE, a perfect match to a Tiffany Blue Little Gift Box.

I heart berries

Don't you love how pretty wild berries are? Last year on a trip to the garden center my husband lurked in the wild berry bush section while I fluttered around in the Hydrangea section loving all those pinks and blues. (surely a post to follow ;)
I wondered what we would do with this bust while standing at the checkout isle. So we planted it last year and got a few berries but this year it just went WILD with these pretty little tiny red berries. How beautiful mother nature is.

He picked a whole bunch and I could not resist filling this vintage ceramic robin egg blue bowl that was actually bought when baby Ricci #1 came along.  

A beautiful combination, fresh new wild berries served in a 40ish vintage beautiful robin egg blue bowl. Hope this inspires you to look around and notice what beauties mother nature brings us and to cherish those family heirlooms even if it is just a bowl.

Hello creative peeps!

I wanted to share a bit of my workflow when it comes to processing my fine art photography with my Dream textures. It's simple and lots of fun.

I first choose the image that provokes the most emotion or mood, then I simply tweak my colors in RAW format (or you could adjust them with the adjustment layers in Photoshop) and apply my textures to them.  No tricks, no fuss.

So look up to the sky and find your blossoms this week.Try something new and out of your comfort zone and see the beauty of your art unfold.

Every little girl dreams of being a Princess, even if it's just for a day.

Last week, I opened up a neatly packed box that holds my wedding dress for the first time since I wore it almost 12 years ago.
The look on my daughters faces when the saw it was priceless. Their jaws dropped and all I heard was AHHHH!!!!
They looked at me and said, "It's a real princess dress mommy". 

As I watched the Royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William today I could not resist to open that box again and
share with you a little bit of what my princess day looked like. {the roses were worn on my hair, dried and kept in a shadow box}

Last year some dear friends of ours were faced with the hardest thing ever to have to live through, they lost a little angel. Last year, we lost a dear friend that was like a second mother, and just yesterday my cousin-in-law lost her grandmother all due to BROKEN HEARTS.
